Venetian
Here is the process of me making my first mask which is the venetian mask.

As you can see in my first picture I am cutting out the template for my masks this reason why I am using a template is so I can get the shape right. Its also a guidance to go off which makes it easier for me to add Mod-Rock and tissue paper.
As you can see I have placed the template onto a balloon the reason for this is so the masks needs to fitted to the face. Adding tissue to the template makes it more stable when I next apply Mod-rock.
Here's another picture showing me applying Mod-Rock with watered down glue. the reason why it is watered down is because its light weight and its easier to apply. It will also dry quicker than thick glue.
This is a picture is of the Mod-Rock its dry and then you wet it with warm water which creates a bond and sticks to the tissue paper. It dry's hard and then you would sand it down so it is smooth.
This is just a picture showing the evidence of me applying the Mod-Rock.
When I finished the Mod-Rock I applied Sliver Paint and Black Spray Paint to give it a venetian feel. I used this paint because in my research there was one masks that stood out to me.
Lion King
This is the second mask I had to create. Its from the lion king.
First of all I used an Alice band and wrapped tight brown material around it to disguised the blue and white colour and because its one of the colours I am using for my masks. Once I had wrapped the material around the Alice Band I then sewed the ends so non of it would fall off.
As you can see in this photo I am wrapping the material tight and securely around the Alice Band. Another reason why I am wrapping the material around is so that it is comfortable for the children who are aged from age 7 to 11.
This is the material and is light and durable. This also a good point because it will be light on the child's face and if they drop it, its less likely it will break.
This is to show the stitching around the Alice Band.
As you can see in this picture I have attached wire to the top of the Alice Band. This is the structure of the Mohawk which I am then going to attach material too, to make it look realistic I used material that looked like hair.
In this Picture I have attached ears to it which are made out of pimp cleaners which again are light and durable. Once I had attached the ears then I sewn material in the inside of the ear to again make it more realistic.
In this Picture you can see the first stages of the Mohawk being created. Unfortuaintly I didn't take any more pictures for evidence. I just finished the ears out my padding them with wool and making it more secure as it is for children.
